Go get some proper legal advice like you been advised.

I suspect that it's one long hearing where there's the the permission to reinstate first, if granted then the substantive claim, and then finally the counterclaim. If it's one where the judge doesn't make a decision immediately but come back another day, the substantive hearing for the original claim will happen regardless. It just basically gets ignored if the permission goes against reinstatement.

thanks KTC,

there had already been a hearing for 'counterclaim' only in March 2022.

the new hearing for 'reinstating' counter claim was issued after the above, but the date happens to be earlier (Feb 2022) which I guess go it is.

I will seek some advice in new year, but I am not even sure what can possibley done..there is no grounds for me to deny LL reinstating his claim right ?

also, given there are two separate dates, there is no chance my counterclaim be heard on the hearing for reinstating his original claim right ?

HK... I am so impressed by how much of a meanie you are now. I don't jape. I mean it. I remember when you sniveled your way onto this rough-and-tumble place years ago and I feel you were close to just turning-tail and going again. But you didn't! You stuck around and it fair warms my cockles when I see how you've grown into a no-nonsense venter and brutal reality-shover... you've grown! So much! I only wish we could have met in real life and laughed about all these numpties and timewasters and fools (the ones who come here expecting a shoulder to cry on, sympathy and real world help - but who then get shot down in a ball of flames-of-ridicule are my favourite ones) in person... probably over a delightful Pimms, suitably... but, I totally understand your fear of Plumbers and so it could never happen... for me you are now one Global Moderator even I am wary of. Merry Christmas HK, you adorable beauty you!

Hi, apologies if I hv maxed out your generosity.

It is just that my first ever legal case has dragged on for long which were outside of my control.

it is not that I do not want to pay for solicitor, but I have not managed to find one which is even half knowledgable as some of the guys (like KTC) on this forum.

Hence why I am asking for pointers so that I can do further research on.

anyway, I do not want to upset anyone here, happy X-Mas/Holidays everyone and thanks for all the help so far!

I  may be petite in stature, but I can be quite a firebrand,or so I am told. I started out determined that Hippogriff  would not scare me off, but then the man himself started to intrigue me, There was no going back.I felt myself succumbing to his encylopaedic knowledge and cruel wit,I was smitten and could not fight it,it was like a drug.......
(to be continued)
P.S. I have no fear of Plumbers,is there another meaning that I don't get?

You passed the little annual test HK. I know quite well that it is a hatred and mistrust of Electricians that you hold tight against your chest. Forgive me, but I just have to just check, every once in a while, that your backstory continues to hold water and it still all 'checks-out'... you holding a position of power - and respect - on the forum, like you do, means that people need to be sure you are who say you are. You are. Rest easy for another year of being Assistant Abuse Officer (note: not Assistant to the Abuse Officer, it's a completely self-contained role).
