Tenant agreement break clause .. Help me

Hi, I have rented a house from SEPT 1 2012.

I have taken house for 1 Year Agreement with 6 month Break Clause with 60 Days notice.
I have requested to house Agent, stating I will leave the house March 1 where my Minimum 6 month stay will be complete according to 6 month Break Clause.

But my agent came back to me stating as per your agreement you cannot leave house before May 1. Means 60 days notice after 6 month stay.

In My agreement the exact line is

" EITHER THE TENANT OR THE LANDLORD MAY BRING THE TENANCY TO AN END AT ANY TIME BEFORE THE EXPIRY OF THE TERM(BUT NOT EARLIER THEN AFTER SIX MONTHS OF THE TENANCY) BY GIVING TO THE OTHER PARTY NO LESS THAN 60 DAYS WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE EFFECT".

Please help Me I am confused between these sentences. Am I right or the Agent ?.
