hi all,
we rented a flat in 2008 and moved out after 9 months. private landlord deducted the rent for 15 days from tenancy deposit. when asked remaining deposit landlord said will not return the money as there is a hole (half inch to 1 inch) in the carpet. we thought this is how it works and came to how this works recently so i was thinking to ask the landlord about the remaining deposit(£300) which was dedudcted for the carpet. i know its been 4years already but i couldnt resist after i knew we are ripped off. i would like advice please.

Take him to the small claims court, prepare your evidence, arrange time off work to attend, cause yourself some stress

or

move on, enjoy life and forget about it.
