I have  a question about our current lease.

We moved in in Jan 2022 on a 12 month contract which was supposed to renewed in Jan 2023 for another 12 month. In Jan 2024 the letting agent forgot to send a new contract and we agreed to renewed the lease in March but for only 6 month until 12th of September 2024. The landlord  raised the rent with signing the 6 month lease.

Two month ago we agreed to extend the lease further, so far the letting agent did not send the new contract but on 29th of August a RHW12 with a rent increase from 12th of November and yesterday an email that they'll send the new contract after confirmation of the RHW12.

Question here, is second rent increase legal within one year?

If we don't agree and the landlord decides he want tho rent to someone else, his notice period is 6 month, correct?
