I have been living in my apartment for 5 years. My landlord and I have a verbal agreement to stay and enjoy as long as I want. Best landlord ever. Like a grandfather to me. He gave me a free month here and there for my birthday or for Christmas. A little less than a year ago he passed away. His grandson took over his several rental properties. Something he didn't really want to do. First thing he tried to do was to get me to sign a lease. The lease was no where near the same rules and agreements his grandfather and I had, so I refused to sign lease. He eventually let it go. A little while later he informed me he was selling the properties. So for months now he had been showing my apartment. Strangers coming and going. Sucks, but I bit my tongue and let them in. Never left, and I basically showed them around. Don't trust anyone around my belongings. Yesterday he texts me and tells me he has a buyer, and that him, the buyer, and an inspector are coming Friday at 3 to go through the apartment again. They want in every room, every closet, no exceptions.. They have already done this once obviously, cause they bought the place. Do I really have to let them back in a second time for the same damn thing? The landlord has invaded my privacy for months. I was hoping now that the building was sold some of my privacy would be restored. Please help.. I'm over accommodating the landlord, and his lack of consideration that my son and I live here, and I lose shifts at work everytime he shows the place. The buyer knows what it looks like already. Grrrrrr
