Hello All.
My Sub-landlord is trying illegally evict me from my room in a shared flat. He claims that I am a lodger even though he never lived in the property and I have tenants' rights, not a lodger. He forced into the room once and pushed my boyfriend out of the property when I was not at home and dumped half of my belongings in the rubbish bins, changed the locks and dumped my belongings outside. I luckily managed to gain entry back into the property with the help of police, but the landlord moved into the property now claiming that he is living in the flat and I am a lodger, not a tenant and he can kick me out when he feels like. I feel intimidated and threatened and do not know what else to expect from this individual.
Can anyone recommend a solicitor to represent me as I want to sue this landlord for illegal eviction, harassment, intimidation and for all the stress we are going through now?
I do not qualify for legal aid but cannot afford expensive solicitors and I would appreciate any advice or recommendation on who would be the best company/solicitor to contact. Perhaps No Win No Fee solicitors could help.
Thanks a lot.
