Hello All,

Please can you help me with regards to a tenancy depoist dispute that is going to occur.

I am leaving my rental property this week and there are some damages on the wall where the paint have been peeled off. We had some sticky wall art (a clock)  and removing it has created some damage with the paint coming off. I have said I want to try and fix the damage and have been told what to do - the landlord and the agency know this and I have the emails to show we wish to try and will raise a dispute if a professional is brought in.

The landlord is insistent they bring in a professional, therefore do I have a realistic chance with the deposit resolution service?

You have a realistic chance, sure.

You should take photos of the damage with the date and time stamp. You could also get 3 quotes as sometimes the whole wall will be painted so it doesn't look patchy. Keep all your emails and the photos. This will help you if there is are disputes. If you can take more pictures of the property when you leave.
