what is considered a reasonable time for a tenant to go with out hot water. it took my landlord six weeks to replace my boiler. I then had to loose two days pay to be at home while the new one was fitted. am I wrong in asking him to reimburse me my loss of wages. thank you for any help any one give me.

A Landlord must be allowed a reasonable time to perform repairs. The issue is that "reasonable" is not defined anywhere. It is entirely subjective. You are not wrong to ask for anything. Hopefully you get a result.

Just so you know, I make sure I'm in attendance for workmen who are operating in my properties. At the very least I want to sign off on the work I'm paying for, but I also do not expect my Tenant to be present (especially if they'd prefer to be at work).

Were you helping them install the boiler?
