Hi all,

Just moved out of our rented house after buying first property. Landlord has been texting/phoning over Christmas break asking/demanding things but I have complied with everything. We have now returned the keys, been praised by letting agents for the state we left the house in and our contract has ended. The landlord called and text my partner multiple times yesterday regarding an electrical issue that we were not aware of and multiple other "problems." He wasn't calling to gather info, just to have a go at us basically and it's really annoyed me.

I plan to tell him to delete our phone numbers and not contact us again now that the tenancy is ended - am I within my rights to do this or can he keep my contact details for a certain length of time afterwards? To be honest, he has been a nightmare and I just don't want to deal with anymore from him if I can help it!

Thanks!  :)

If the checkout went well, presumably your deposit has been returned in full by now? He can keep your contact details if he chooses to do so,but he has no legal right to pester you.You should block his calls.

Thanks for your reply. Yes full deposit was returned a week ago so don't understand why he continues to bother us. I will take your advice and block his number!  :)
