I know there's been a thread about property courses before, but it's dead and burried so I thought i'd start a fresh one  ;D

I got an email from someone, and it said this:

QuoteI went on a free workshop that leads onto a weekend course on property investing which will cost me £4000 wow I know... is it worth it??

My initial thought is that 4k is a lot of money. Would you actually get your moneys worth? By that I mean, will you make that 4k back by investing in property with the information you learn at the source? What will they teach you for 4k?

I've personally never been on a property course, because I believe that you can learn everything you need to learn from free sources e.g estate agents, experienced developers (friends/family) and the internet. But that's just my opinion. I'm not sure what those courses can teach you beyond those means.

You could spend that 4k more wisely, like putting it directly into property.

Am I being ignorant/cynical?

personally I think they are a waste of time ... maybe a 'fun way to learn .

But there is so much info out there like you said Pfag . So many programmes , books , internet . etc

So true.
I've been on a few computer courses (for work) and all I came back with was a free carry bag, filled with leaflets and free pens.
