Hey adaliancruz,

I'm not sure how good of an investment Spain would be right now, as it's been quite commercial for tourists for a while now. Same applies to places like France and Italy. The opportunities where you could snatch a deal in those locations aren't as common as they used to be. Tenerife and costa del sol are extremely popular destinations, so the opportunity for getting a great deal won't be THAT easy. However, it's possible.

I'm not entirely sure of prices, to be honest. But there are loads of websites out there that deal with buying property abroad.

On a sidenote, the best place to buy abroad right now is apparently Dubai.

Hi guys,
Heard a little story once about a chap who brought repos from the banks from ex pats who thought the world of opportunity was in fact a huge nightmare and up sticks and left the country where they brought there villas etc.
Not sure how hard it is today to do this, but from what i gathered the banks need to get rid so you just need to pay the remainder of purchace plus a few costs on top.
As people buying overseas they are required to pay big deposits to secure properties,
In some cases i have heard you can get very new villas for less than half price.
Food for thought
