I only have one book which is Sarah Beenys: Profit from Property . I cant really say I was impressed to be honest. Very basic.

Its always nice reading a book.... but you will find more information from the internet or TV.
Property Ladder is probably the best to watch.

Cheers Fiona  :)

As I'm in the saving and researching stage it'd be nice to read a book as I can't do much else!

Probably the most massively useful book I have bought on property is Sarah Beeny's "Price the Job" (ISBN 978-1-84340-421-7) - There is a revised 2008 edition that I have my mits on.

It is remarkably short on pictures of Sarah (which seem to be something of a feature of most of her other publications), but massively useful for not only understanding how much certain tasks cost - but the different kinds of tradesman you need to consider engaging and what frame of mind to adopt for your target market (low, medium or high expense).

Now if you know everything about everything when it comes to renovation - I'm sure it's all very tedious. But for the rest of us mortals who want to do things we have never done before, I'd say it is essential reading.
