Traffic to property websites has fallen.

The latest ComScore figures show traffic to Rightmove has declined 29.5% between August 2007 and August 2008, and by 7.9% since July of this year. During the same periods, Thinkproperty fell by 44.5% and suffered a monthly drop of 37.6%, making it the biggest loser.

However, Rightmove's unique visitor numbers are still far higher than any of its rivals. In August, it had 2.4 million unique visitors, compared with Findaproperty, the second most visited property portal, with 1.304 million.

I think everyone is abit obsessed with house prices falling and finance etc so therefore they flock to sites like this, rather than looking on property for sale websites.

Why do you think the traffic to your site has increased propertyfag?

Because I monitor the traffic I get to my website...you get me?

No.... I know you do silly, I mean why do you think more people are using/viewing your website more ?

Oh right, because I rank well for certain keywords in Google.

The content on my site is quite broad in terms of property, so appear for all kinds of property related keywords. Sites like Rightmove generally get direct traffic i.e. people don't google Rightmove, they just go directly to the site. Most of my traffic is Search Engine based.
