I have tenants who have insisted they want eviction notice in order to move out. The council know this and have called me asking for the notice and bailiffs to come before they can help them (which i think is so wrong). Anyway, i have the stress of going through this legal procedure to get them out. they are in rent arrears but i am not going to waste my time trying to get my money back. I have decided to go through the process of the accelerated procedure and know about the section 21 day eviction notice and recently the DPS deposit scheme (this must be done, otherwise all your efforts is meaningless to evict tenants). I need help in finding a lawyer to serve notice that does not cost too much- someone please help me??? many thanks

Hey,

I had the exact same issue. My tenants wanted an eviction notice so they could get a council house. Made me sick.

Anyways, you don't really need a lawyer to serve a notice, as long as you serve the notice correctly. And you don't need a section 21, you need a section 8 if you want to evict a tenant.

You could always go to your local Citizens Advice for free legal advice.

hi....i need to serve section 21 as i need my house back.
did u have to do this?...

Hey,

A section 21 is NOT an eviction notice! You need to serve a section 8 if you wish you evict your tenant!

You should read about the differences between a section 8 and 21!!

my notice has to be section 21 (4) a.
there is no rent arrears involved but i want my house back.
i need to ask when i should serve notice on tenancy commenced date or rental date, as they verify.
tenancy agreed on 4th jan 2011. rental paid on 25th of each month.
i should serve notice 4th sept ending 3rd nov?.....many thanks
