I evicted my tenant last year.  I did all the paperwork myself.  I have heard I can put my time through as an expense based on 1/3 the fees a professional would charge but can't find this written down anywhere.  Is this true?  As the s*d has left me over £5k out of pocket with no chance of seeing any again even getting a slightly lower tax bill is better than nothing!

Any ideas if this is true or just wishful thinking?!

Sorry.

You can claim expenses  incurred wholly and exclusively but not some arbitrary time cost.

Nice idea though.
