I live in Scotland, and I am looking to rent out my flat. We currently live in it, however will be moving to a house with a bit room, as me and my wife have a baby on the way.  Unfortunately after a year of having our flat on the market, it hasn't sold, so we are now looking to rent it out instead. I am clueless are need some help from the pros plz 

We currently have our property insured through the bank, and understood that we also needed landlords insurance. However I am not really sure what either does. Do I need both? After calling for a quote for landlords insurance, I got the impression that I no longer needed home owners insurance, because that would not cover tenants. Which now has me lost.

I know you guys probably get this question constantly, and I do apologize, however any clarification will be greatly appreciated.
