Hey there hoping some could give me advice on this situation.

I recently rented to a new tenant via a property agency. We had detailed inventory taken prior which the tenant has signed. It's been 2months since the tenant has occupied. After the tenant moved in they began to complain about small things which did not work, which worked and looked fine prior to their moving in. Recently the tenant said a door came off its hinges as they slept and had hit them, causing injury. They have young children.

The tenant has now compiled a list of things which have broken or stopped working. Which were all working fine prior when the inventory was taken. If we dispute this does the inventory hold grounds to support my defence? Can she claim compensation for her injuries?

Would be great to know what my next steps can be.

She would have to show proof of the injuries,a doctor's report for example. It would be odd to position a bed so close to the door! Assuming that the agent is not managing for you,I would visit by arrangement,preferably with a general property handyman in tow,and look at all these complaints.Take the inventory,and take photos.Deal with any genuine problems,and at the first opportunity serve S21.
