Is it so that when you increase the rent, you need to provide a new AST and re-protect the deposit even though you have not increased the deposit.

I thought not; however, I read a deposit scheme news letter that stated, if any detail changes on the AST then the deposit needs re-protecting. Of course I cant find the article now.

Don't change any detail on the AST.
