Hi All

Can anyone help me to confirm if the label on my sofa covers me for leaving the sofa in a property Iím about to rent out (UK)

Many thanks

What does the label say? I don't think it has been legal to sell sofas with inflammable material for some time,so if it's fairly new you should be o.k.

Complies with 1988 regulations
Must be used with schedule 3 interliner
Cover is not match resistant

I am pretty sure that should cover you, assuming you don't let to smokers.I have Ikea sofas with removable covers in some of my rentals, much the same age.If in doubt,Trading Standards could advise.I have just looked at some of the regulations and they are not clear on the "Match resistant" part. I am going to check .Another good reason to let unfurnished where possible.

Thanks again for your reply, it does seem difficult to find a definitive answer I will try what you said with trading standards!

I agree about the unfurnished part but this one will only bet a short term let I believe

Thanks again
