Hi,
We have a property with six self-contained flats each with an electricity prepayment meter supplied by us. We receive one bill from the Energy supplier in our name relating to the whole property. I would like to know how the individual tenants are supposed to receive the Energy Bills scheme discount.
Any help with this question would be appreciated.
Thanks

They're not, you'll get one for the electricity account and have to distribute it to them.

Hi,
Thanks, Am I to assume that instead of six lots £400 support there will only be one shared between six?

How, and if you share the £400 is up to you.

I assume:

There is only one customer with one supply to the property, i.e. you.

The tenants effectively pay you for electricity used via the pre-payment meters that you supplied.

You pay the single bill for total electricity used plus the standing charge for the one supply.

Therefore the six tenants do not exist as far as the Energy Bills Support Scheme is concerned.
