Hi all. Been to a free property seminar today and came away from it very positive. They only gave you a small insight into how to become financially free by using buy to lets etc. They wanted £755 for a three day course and then they would tell you all you need to do and help you do it. I'm not one for just giving people money, so walked away to do my own research on the company, but all searches have come back a bit limited, so was wondering if anyone on here have heard of them. The seminar was from a company called Perform in Property, with Roger Black and Steve Brackley headlining, but I think the 3 day course was with a company called Asset Academy. Can anyone help? Thanks

Don't waste your money. You will be given an entirely false idea about how easy it is.Read, look at forums,do your sums, greatly lower your expectations of profits, human behaviour and your own capabilities.

Really wouldn't bother with seminars.

Do your own research and look for internet forums and Meetups for property where you can discuss the reality rather than wealthy people telling you how easy it is.

Nope, not neccessary - you can find out a lot more info and more up to date news on your own doing all the above suggested and in free meet ups with landlord groups/memberships.

I hope you'll forgive me if my opinion seems a bit off..

£775 seems a bit of a piss take... I'll tell you all I know for a reasonably decent Steak & Kidney Pie and 5 pints, or a Home made Pizza and a bottle of Valpolicella.. I can drag it out if you need to feel you're getting your moneys worth and I bet the price of the bill I'll put you off the idea by the time we're done... These guys don't give a damn if you make a fortune or lose your shirt.. neither do I, to be honest, but I won't pretend to.

Alternatively, just talk to someone who's at it already with a bit of experience over a few years and see what they think...

People who sell "Seminars for Success" get on my pip.. I think they're milking your imagination, and I think your underestimating your own intelligence..

I'd say it depends on which type of house/tenant you'll be aiming at... There's a reason a lot of Landlords don't do DSS/ Benefit level tenancies ..
