Dear All

I am looking for a good letting agent in London. Can anyone recommend one to me??

I have had a bad experience with my past agent and am looking for an agent just to let the property, undertake credit checks and form the contract. I will handle issues during the tenancy.

Before dealing with any letting agent in London, try to check out their previous background. You could seek the counsel of an expert in this field. I think you should ask the agent to show you the results of your checks – this is your right as being their customer.
Always try to deal with a good, reputed and experienced agent  that has access to comprehensive lists and details of available property for sale and rent, as per your budget as well. Also they should remain competitive in pricing and offer great services to their customer.

You could visit a letting agent and see how they operate and get a feel of their sincerity. Oh and honesty.

I am an agent myself and had to sue another agent who I trusted at first. It can be just as bad for us.

The best way is to ask around your area and the people you know. A recommendation although not guaranteed is the first step in choosing an agent, then listen to how they deal and speak with you. If they seem a bit sharp or talk big, think twice.
