When you sell a property can you offset the stamp duty against any taxable profit. Similarly I converted the garage which should have increased the house's value. Can the conversion cost also deducted from the gross profit? I'm not ready to sell just yet but just wondering how the tax will be calculated (if there is a profit!) Thank you
