Hi All,

I've filled up the N5B form and gathered all the supporting documents. I've put the form and the supporting docs in a file.

Could you please let me know...

1.    Should I submit 4 copies of N5B to the court, if I have 2 tenants (1 copy each for the court, 2 tenants and myself) ?

2.    Do I need to serve the N5B form directly to the tenants as well? Or will the court do that using 2 copies mentioned in the above question?

3.    On page 19, what should I put here "I certify that the claim form of which this is a true copy was served by me on"? The date on which I posted the application to the court or to the tenants?

4.    On page 19, what should I put here: "by posting it to the defendant(s) on"? How is this different from the date mentioned in the above question 3?

5.    If I'm giving 4 copies of the N5B form to the court, how many copies of the supporting documents should I be giving?

6.    Should I give 4 copies of the N5B form to the court and 1 copy of the supporting documents?

7.    Is this the correct address of the court if my house was in Ilford in London?

Stratford Magistrates' Court and Family Court

389-397 High St,

London E15 4SB

8.    Do I need to complete the Court Form N119A and send along with the N5B form?

9.    Apart from mailing the N5B forms and supporting documents to the court and/or the tenants, is there anything else I need to do?

10. How to submit this file? Should I post this to the court address or go to the court and hand it over manually?

11. How to pay for the fees? There seems to be some PCOL website where I can pay the fees online? Or do I attach a cheque to the N5B form? Or can I pay the fees in any other way?

12. Is the fees £391?

13. If I register and pay through the PCOL system, do I need to submit the supporting documents by uploading them to the website? Or still submit the file of docs that I've prepared?

14. Should I send the N5B form and the supporting documents through an email? I saw someone mention that in this form. Hence wondering.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Girish.

Hi there,

I recently had to submit an N5b form for the first time ever. I appointed a solicitor to help me with this, as to me it wasnt crystal clear (maybe I'm thick).

So I'd say unless you were or know someone who is confident, it's advisable to get a solicitor to help as it's better to get it right the first time. I've heard that any mistake on the form, it could be rejected and you'll have to start again and pay over.

@Janwards point is a good one.

You asked the same questions on a different forum (landlordzone) three weeks ago and the questions were all answered (as far as I can tell).
What are you planning to do if you get different answers here?
