Hello just when i thought my troublesome lodger had given up the ghost, i previously posted as he hadnt given notice etc.....he has now contacted the online find a room agency i use ... and again ive had to explain he didnt give notice etc etc .... is there anything i can do to stop all this ? I dont think it will stop at this  .

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

I suppose you could bite the bullet and repay the deposit.However I doubt if this is just about the money,and it could reinforce the idea that you are a good victim.It sounds as if he has dropped the idea of going to court? I assume the agency has not blacklisted you after his call?
You could do worse than talk off the record with the police,certainly if his behaviour starts to show any signs of harassment At the moment they will regard this as a civil matter though.You were a bit foolhardy to put it mildly,but you have been very lucky not to have had problems before now.Female friends have had some real nightmares,often with female lodgers with impeccable references.
