I wanted to know if anyone else who has appointed an agency to manage their property has had their management fee increased without it being pre-agreed in their initial contract.  The agency are saying they sent out an email notifying me of an increase but no such email exists.  Apart from not being notified surely, they should have set out an annual increase as part of their initial rental agreement.  Any thoughts?

Accept or refuse to accept... what else is there to think about? You can waste too many hours thinking about this and spinning... just make a decision then take a stand... or don't. If it's small beer, maybe move on. If it's a rather dramatic amount threaten to leave and look elsewhere... if you're a big fish then this will matter to them, if you're small fry, maybe not.

I refuse to accept and on principle will not renew when the renewal is due.  They claim they sent an email regarding a levy.  No such email can be found.

That's cool. As long as you understand the Terms of Business you signed with them... make sure that terminating their services doesn't mean you have to give up 'your' / 'their' Tenant or try to enforce the payment of some exit penalty.

I will run through all of the implications.  Thanks for your comments.
