Just looking into supplying internet in the house I'm thinking of renting out.

Do any of you do this and if so what's involved in getting it sorted and the cost.

I would not get involved. Leave it to the tenant. For one thing everytime there is an outage there will be an expectation that you chase the service provider to get it fixed.  Not only that, if the tenants perception is that the link is intermittent or poor it will all come back to you.

Why would you want the hassle.

Avoid. Communications are a utility... bills are the responsibility of the user. Also, people like to choose.
