Hi All
I have had a tenant move out last month she was on a AST 6 months and her 6 months had past( and to be honest im glad to see her go). She gave notice verbally but not in writing but I thought ok your going so why worry, anyway she has came back and asked me for a end of Tenancy Agreement , Now with things that have gone on I smell a rat , Do I have to give her this as I thought that a end of tenancy agreement is what I would give a tenant If I wanted them out ? and as she ended the tenancy anyway that form would not be for me to provide all help is gratefully received thank you regards Cris
Ps If I dont need to supply this agreement for what purpose would she be trying to get one thanks again Cris

Hi
Has the tenant moved out of still in the property?
What date did she give verbal notice, this has to be in writing of the tenant?
Don't do anything as she seems to be up to something ?
Your right to end the Tenancy you have to issue the correct notice or good be costly to you?

Hi housingenforcers
                                thanks for your reply
No she is no longer in the property and has been gone for about 3 weeks this is why I dont understand why she needs a end of tenancy agreement, I had a few problems with her like her withholding rent because her boyfriends car got scratched on the drive  while he was visiting her, not sure if that was hers or the boyfriends idea and hence  why i smell a rat with this latest request thanks again Cris

Hi well she has gone now so you don't need to provide anything, maybe she trying to say you evicted her to claim social housing and needs proof, but she left on her own. Did you return the deposit after she left? What problems did you have other then claim of a car getting scratched which you are not liable. Did she leave owing rent, damaged the property?

An End of Tenancy Agreement is a new one on me. I've never heard of such a document, never mind be asked for one. I would ignore the request. If the Tenant can provide you with an example of what it is they're wanting, that would be interesting... but I bet they cannot, as I doubt this type of document / agreement is in existence. The Tenant will be doing something for their own purposes - not yours - so rest easy by not assisting, or even caring one jot.
