Hi everyone.

I am selling my property which I currently rent out with completion expected to be the beginning of May. My estate agents who I use to manage the property advised that because I am no longer planning on renting the property out that I do not need to have an EICR completed. However, they have emailed me today to say that I do now need to have one completed before 1st April.

Can anyone advise me on if I need to have one completed or not if I am not planning on renting the property from the beginning of May?

Thank you in advance  :)

What unfortunate timing. As I understand it,you will  indeed have to do this if tenants will still be living there by 1st.April.

You need one. Your May plans can change, through no action of your own.
