Hi my tenants have asked if they can bring the rent forward to start earlier in the month to match up with their pay day in their new job.  any thoughts? thanks

Don't change anything or make any adjustment to the rent amount in the month of change.
The rent remains due when its due, the tenant is just paying it a bit early.

I have even allowed a Tenant to move the date forward, backward and side-to-side and even split the rent into two equal payments. She says this works for her and I haven't delved into why. I just accept it and it's worked well... now it's one half on the 3rd, one half on the 10th... helps feed a bit of self-control (that I seem to lack) into my crypto. habit... and it's just an agreement between us, no change to documentation or any administration beyond the email agreeing it. They've been there since 2014, under the new payment regime for just over a year now. I might feel a tiny bit different if they were brand new Tenants, of course. With established Tenants (which I'm going to assume from your post) then it's really all about the people involved.

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. If aligning the rent date with their payday helps, it's a reasonable adjustment. Just be sure to put the new arrangement in writing to keep everything clear.
