Please could you help as I am not clear

1) Tenant moved in April 2014, deposit was protected within 30 days but prescribed information wasn't served in 2014, did I have to serve this at time? I thought the prescribed information came out in 2015?

I am asking because I am about to issue a section 21 and i have read that if that information wasn't served they maybe a penalty and a section 21 cant be issued

The problem is if I serve this now it may open up a can of worms

Please help as i am really stuck here and need some advise

Tenancy deposit protection requirements came in in 2007...... 🙄

You can serve the prescribed information late and still then serve valid section 21 notice. You may or may not be liable for one or more deposit protection penalties depending on other details not provided in the original post.

Have there been any new tenancies since the original?
When was the Prescribed Information served?
