Evening all
I'm just after advice re building insurance that I require for a buy to let mortgage. I need some unoccupied cover whilst we renovate until we begin letting, but most of the cover and online quotes seem ask if its occupied which is isn't etc 
Its Just frustrating and I want to get the correct cover now and when also let out

I might be missing the point but all you need is renovations insurance.

Some insurers (like the little red phone company) also cover within their basic landlord insurance eg. for up to 30 days and depending on the work being done and the duration of the work. 

Google is your friend but you will need to call the insurance companies.  If you stick to just internet you might get far/have certainty.

Or try an insurance broker.  They can access underwriters you have never even heard of.
