I live in the state of SC. I rented a room to an individual with the understanding that 2 individuals he knew were not allowed as they were allegedly running from law enforcement for crimes they had committed. This was a verbal agreement made between he, his sister-in-law who had control of his finance and other matters due to mental problems he suffered from.

He had the individuals over, became angry when confronted about it, voluntarily left to stay with these individuals in another place where they were made to leave, and returned 6 days later, got in his car that wasn't running, and proceeded to call several individuals about a place to stay.

I stated to him he wasn't being evicted, he simply couldn't have them over, he called law enforcement, left with family, and the next day I received a courtesy call from DSS asking if he could get a few things. I requested law enforcement to make sure I wasn't lied upon and to inventory what was being taken.

There are no police reports and no DSS report though I have requested both.

Any advice on what to do legally, I am getting conflicting advice from individuals in the legal system.
