My wife has 3 properties in her name. I don't trust tradesman, so I do all the work myself. Gas and electrics do though get certified.
Because I do all flooring, decorating and carpentry myself, how is the best way of dealing with this.
I paint properties in-between tenancies as an example.
I was thinking of invoicing my wife for time spent at market related rates, and then I would need to declare that income on my self assessment.
Any ideas? Apologies if this has been dealt with in other posts.

No need to apologise.
As long as you bill at sensible rates and declare the income, you should be fine.
As long as you're not involved in the property ownership or being a landlord.

Invoicing your wife at market rates for your work is a reasonable approach, but be sure to document everything properly. Report the income on your self-assessment and consult a tax professional to ensure compliance, especially with family transactions.
