I have a problem with combi boiler in house I rent out, plumber is having problems with repair and has suggested that repair may only be temporary and maybe I should consider replacing, it isnt that old and he says I am just unlucky.  I trust him 100% have always used him as he is reliable and always charges a fair price but want him to repair as best he can

My problem is that i can offset repairs against my tax bill but will replacing it with new one be considered improvement and therefore not be considered for tax relief?

I am  always confused what you can and what you cant claim tax relief on

A new boiler is an allowable expense.
