Please can you help...before I go insane.

Are my solicitors (and counsel) missing something?
...Or am I ?

Our Landlord has given  keys to new commercial tenants at the farm where we live – they  use them (and also give them to their customers/ un-accompanied stranger)  to enter   our privately shared/ rented Farmhouseuse to use  our toilet and wash facilities.

I'm sick of coming down in my bathrobe, or eating a meal in the kitchen or sitting outside  and being disturbed by a total stranger using our loo..which I clean. Our possessions are visible and assessable too...in addition to car keys, phones, hand bags, wallets left on table...Do we really have to 'LOCK' everything up including the microwave and kettle and our jackets  hanging up in the hallway - my horse tack and equipment, my boots.   etc???

The last time our landlord 'lost' his keys, someone entered the property, turned off the cctv and nicked our brand new £6oo sony flat screen.

Our insurers would not pay out because it was a lawful entry and not a break in

Solicitors and Counsel are of the opinion that 'We don't have exclusive rights..

What about ...My safety, security....our possessions. we furnish the house because he won't!   .who IS responsible ??..what are our rights...who can come in, what notice, conditions, Insurance??? Enjoyment of private space? security, please help....??

We have just recently won/settled a harassment case against the landlord. (Won't go into detail - but he's a total cock)
My partner and I share (and have full use of) the 4 bed farmhouse. We have two bedrooms, the landlord has the third and the fourth is mostly let to and occupied by another' house mate'.

The landlord stays at the farm Monday to Thursday (3 nights per week). We have been here 8 years now. Not sure what sort of tenancy we have because he forged it. I know we are pretty protected now because of that. We are all up to date on our rent too encase you wondered..

Prior to the 2 day trial we offered to  him the' Olive branch'....life's too short -  lets move on - kind of thing' and  accepted £2,000  plus our costs to resolve things sensibly. .  We guessed/hoped he'd learnt the errors of his ways would avoid him an embarrassing 2 day trial and the huge costs associated with that - and move forward... And that's why we did it,

Hoping things would now improve. This has happened. We just can't believe him.
Where do we stand?
