hi when i moved into my last house the was some items in the house  a old sofa and old table and chair  that the land land said she would have to remove as the item where old and not up to fire regs   but if i wanted them i could have them which was great two less things to buy  and she didnt have to remove them so win all round i have now moved and i took the items with me  as they where given to me  . but today i was arrested and the items taken by police  as she had told them i had stolen them  and i have bin charged with theft  . what can i do and can i take her to court over this  . are all land lord asses like this as make you not rent private

You should have asked for written confirmation. Silly of you to rely on verbal assurances like you did, a learning experience. If you don't want to rent privately, don't... that's the best thing, it's entirely your choice.

That land lord is an ass.

Although I suspect for this to happen there is more to this than you have said.
