moved in a property july 2013 left july 2015. Landlords agents claiming against 475 deposit for a scorched carpet, a fridge freezer they told me to put in backyard as I had my own and they would pick up but never did. Also they are claiming for a rip in lino in back kitchen which I say was caused by a leak from under  sink  area which  they never repaired and this may have weakened lino . Deposit held by DPS. Agents refusing to send me any records of telephone calls or lists of repairs I gave to them during the 2 years. Also there is a credit balance on my rent account approx. 150.00 they say they are keeping that also against the above damage .Can they keep the credit rent balance? I have agreed to release £200 for scorched bedroom carpet as I accidently left iron on and it fell over

Dispute the claim of the deposit by the Landlord with whatever deposit scheme is protecting the deposit and let them sort it out.
I have never been on the tenant side of this process so best thing is to call them and ask them what evidence is needed.
