Hi all,
I have an assured shorthold tenancy agreement for 2 years but I would like to leave before the end of the agreement.  I have looked through my agreement but there is nothing in it with regards to notice period the tenant has to give.  Is there a standard notice period I need to give or am I stuck for the full length of the agreement and is it my own fault for not noticing?
Thanks

Hippogriff

It's likely the latter... that was kind of the point of the fixed term of 2 years. Look for a Break Clause. If not present you could try to negotiate.

I am afraid that you are not going to have much luck with this, you will need to negotiate with your landlord and look to end the tenancy early.
