My landlord took 30 days to fix the heat in our place.  Did not fix the back door that did not shut (had to get my friend to do it-took pictures for proof).  I also have a 5 year old and we had to use space heaters for a month.  She told me to stay somewhere else, but did not have anywhere to go and I already paid rent so I couldn't afford to stay anywhere else.  It took her 2 weeks to even have someone come look at the heat and then found out there was water in the crawl space.  Of course she tried to blame me, but it had nothing to do with me.  She then yelled at me and treated me like its no big deal that my son and I have no heat.  She acted like I should feel sorry for her, that she had to fix it.  Then it took another 2 weeks to get the problem solved and then didn't even tell me when they were going to be there, so I had to leave work and lost 2 hours of work.  She then told me she would re inverse me for my electric bill.  Well now she is trying to get out of that.  What are the laws and what are my rights as a tenant?  it's like this is a never ending battle with her!  Please help.
