Can you please advice...
My tenant ask for a copy for landlord insurance certificates. Is that comes under the landlords obligations?
I believe Insurance is something personal for landlords and not to be given to tenants.

Please advice...

I have never known a tenant ask for such a thing. It is not an obligation as far as I know.Have you asked why they want to see this-it seems very odd?

In my self-written AST, I have always had the following clause contained - "The Landlord will insure the Property and arrange for any damage caused by an
insured risk to be remedied and to provide a copy of the insurance certificate to the Tenant(s) if requested." - I would have no problem with doing this. I once had to provide a copy of the insurance policy (the details) as some Tenants wanted to introduce some Syrian refugees into the property, doing their bit, and I wasn't very happy about that (selfish reasons) - thankfully, my Insurance policy had a clause saying no to half-way houses, asylum seekers and various other parties. Of course, I respect what they [the Tenants] wanted to do, yet I was still grateful I had a piece of paper we could both review which put a downer on the idea. Phew.
