Landlord having packages delivered to house

I've just moved into a property with a private landlord who asked us to let him know when post arrived for him.  He gets more post than us on a daily basis.

Now he has asked us to keep post for another name, and packages have started arriving for the other named person.  I am very unhappy about this, especially as we have no idea what is in the packages.

I'm fairly certain we would be within our rights to say 'no' to these packages, but don't want to jeopardise our tenancy as we love the house.

Any advice?

The odd letter is reasonable. Your situation seems unreasonable. I would ask the CAB. I would be very worried that I was handling illegal items. Obviously they are all legitimate unless you know otherwise. You should be able to live there without disturbance. This is disturbing you. Ask your landlord if he can use another address. Tell him the postie is waking you up at 7am or you missed the clincher in Colombo to answer the door and you are getting fed up. I doubt there is a section of your tenancy that mentions this.
