I've been renting for 18 months. And now my landlord is getting a divorce.  Her husband as be asking me to pay  half the rent to him. Which I don't mind but because he going through a divorce I'm nit sure I should. ?

Pay the rent to whoever and however the rent is supposed to be paid according to the tenancy agreement. If the landlord wants it differently, tell whoever is listed as landlord to put it to you in writing. If there's joint landlord, ideally get it in writing from all of them.

Dont change who you pay rent too it can backfire.  Continue only paying to the account named on the tenancy agreement.
Up to the received to sort out who gets a share not you.
If you split it the other side can take you to court for underpayment of rent.
Never heard anything so stupid to be requested from a tenant.
