what are the legal implications of the landlord did not countersign tenancy?

Can you provide more details?

It would be usual for there to be a copy of the tenancy to be held by the tenant as well as the landlord. The landlord will hold a copy with your signature on as well as theirs!

The council have confirmed the document I have is  a sham licence agreement, so in fact i legally have a AST.

The part of the tenancy I retain only has my signature, the landlord did not countersign my copy.

I know I signed both copies but that's it.

I was wondering the legal implications on the landlord failure to countersign?
