I am planning to rent out a property (a house in N London) and would be grateful to hear from anyone who is currently a tenant about where they looked when searching for a place.

Did you use any particular newspapers, websites etc?

If you google the type of house, in the area you want, a list of sites will appear, which will be a great place to start.

For Example.

https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1CHFX_enGB518GB518&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=2%20bed%20flat%20in%20N%20London

If you post that in your browser it will give you over 2000 2 bed flats in N London.

Google is a good place to start. Gumtree is usually one of the first results that appears for every location, and it's usually updated every day with new properties.
