Good evening

My landlord has served us a s21 giving us the required 6 months to leave as he has put the house for sale.

Was just wondering, if a new landlord bought the property and wanted to keep us as tenants, what would happen on regard to that section 21.

It would become irrelevant. It doesn't need to be "closed off" or anything. If a new Landlord wanted to buy it, and didn't want you as Tenants, then they would usually insist on vacant possession at Completion.
