my lease on my house is for 1 year but i have not sign any more have I still got a contract the landlord send me a  eviction notice I have left the house but now he is saying I o rent and I have to pay for  damages is this right 
Please help

A 1 year agreement means that you can leave on or before the last day of that agreement without having to give any notice.  If you stay 1 day over that you would owe another months rent & have to give 1 months notice to leave. 

Do you think you should pay for damages?  Sounds reasonable.

Yes desposit was protected do they need me to  release the money

What dates did your 1 year contract start/end?
What date did you get the notice from the landlord?
What was the "expiry date" of the notice?
What date did you leave the property

Do you agree that you caused the damage he refers to?  Do you agree with the value he says the damage is worth?
