Hi.
My landlord has his property up for sale and there are three flats and a shop.  I was not made aware of the sale until the estate agent contacted me to arrange a viewing. They are requesting that viewings from 10am to 3pm.  I work until 4pm but they said that is too late in the day and that if I am not able to meet them, the managing agent will let them in. I am not happy about this and feel they are being unreasonable.
What are my rights as a tenant, can I request viewings be held at a more sensible time for me. I have to take vacation to get back to meet them and I now have no vacation left.
I am now on an assured tenancy agreement, so I assume if they do want me out, they have to give me two months notice and I one month ?  Thank you for any advice you can give me.

If you wish, you do not have to allow any viewings at all.

It might state that you must in your tenancy agreement but, really, what is the worst that can happen? They give you 2 months notice. Well, is that going to happen anyway, you'd assume so unless it's been sold to another Landlord.

You can play it nice and try and get the Agent to agree to times that suit you. If they do not, you can formally inform them that no viewings will be allowed. If they say they will let themselves in, change the locks (but put them back to how they were at the end). Obviously the end might be encouraged if you take that line... but it is your right.
