Hi, apologies if I appear quite naive I am in the final part of the process of buying a property to let. Unfortunately I rec'd call from estate agents advising me that the property had been vandalised on sat night. All downstairs windows have been broken and foot marks on front door. They removed the "sold" board but the previous owners left piles of rubbish outside property front and back. I asked the owner who is an investment company to remove rubbish but they refused saying prev owners should have done this. After a lot of persuasion they have now agreed to replace the glass. The previous owners who have lost their house have only moved close by and according to neighbours were the family from hell. As I don't own the house the police won't tell me anything, data protection!! They said to agents they don't know maybe kids? I went around and had a chat to neighbours who say generally it's a good street. I'm really lacking positivity now as the property needs a lot of work and I'm thinking I am going to be concerned doing the property up hoping they don't return and do it all over again? I appreciate your comments? Regards.
