Front door still not fixed

We live in a property which has been converted into 3 flats.

Ground floor is 2 couples. First floor is a family of four. Second floor, us, is a couple. There's two landlords. One owns the ground floor flat and the other landlord owns the first floor flat and ours.

Almost 3 weeks ago the front door to the property broke. We didn't break it. To be honest, the front door looked like it was on it's last legs and there's a crack on the window.

The landlords know, however the door has not been fixed. There's a lot of issues right now and frankly, the communication is poor on their end. Either no response or a short message. Our landlord said it was the landlord from the ground floor flat responsibility and not his, however he will make contact and sort it out. That was almost 3 weeks ago.

What can we do?

You could contact your local authority and ask them to serve a notice of improvement on the appropriate person, but personally I wouldn't do that yet.  I'd write to your landlord (a proper letter on a piece of paper, with a date on the letter) saying that there is no front door and asking him to see that it's fixed within fourteen days.
